Licensed Residential Care

We have provided residential care to numerous children over the past 34 years, planting seeds of hope in their lives.  Our residential home currently cares for sibling groups that are age 12 and younger.

It is so difficult for children to be removed from everything they know such as their home, their neighborhood, their friends, their parents, their pets, and their school, and often all they have is each other. Searcy Children's Homes understands the need for siblings to be together, if at all possible, and we provide a home that allows them to live together.

Our residential home is staffed by houseparents who have a heart for ministering to children. They create a family atmosphere where each child feels safe and loved.  The children learn that God loves them and wants them to do their very best.  The houseparents, along with relief houseparents, a case manager, and a therapist work together to provide the children with age-appropriate "tools" to help them to grow spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.

Children are placed in our residential home through referrals from the Department of Human Services.  They often come with their few belongings in a plastic sack, or worse yet, a garbage bag.  We never know how long a sibling group will be in our care so we want to make sure that they receive the best care possible as long as they are with us.  When children leave, they are provided with "real" luggage for their clothes and belongings.  When children leave, they have a better understanding of what it means to be part of a loving and caring family.
